National General Secretary Samajwadi Party Shivpal Singh Yadav accuses Badayun District Police of harassment and detaining party workers to help BJP

National General Secretary Samajwadi Party, Shiv Pal Singh Yadav has written to Chief Election Commissioner accusing Musajhag police in Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh that of deliberately harassing party workers in favour of the ruling dispensation. The letter reads that more than 40 party workers have been detained at the police station for no valid reasons.

This police illegality stands in the way of election code of conduct and violates all established norms of electioneering.

The Badayun police was doing so to create an atmosphere of fear among party workers and was allegedly forcing them to work in favour of the BJP.

Since last night he was making efforts to contact senior police officers but there was no response from their CUG phones, reads the letters.

The SP leader has requested the CEC to intervene and stop this police atrocity and repressive tactics in order to help the BJP.

On the other hand, warning the Bilsi police station inspector on phone Shivpal Singh Yadav demanded to know from him name of the police officer on whose instructions he and several other inspectors were acting in a biased way and trying to help the BJP.

Shivpal Singh Yadav has also warned police that from east to west in Uttar Pradesh,Samajwadi Party workers will reach all police stations in case police repression was not stopped.
