Uttar Pradesh needs ten more highways: UP, CM puts forth proposal before Union Minister of Roads and Transport, Nitin Gadkari

UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath met Union Minister of Road Transport Nitin Gadkari and put forth a proposal for the construction of ten highways in the state.

The chief minister apprised the union minister that the state has highways from east to west but not from north to south.
In order to bring the existing highways to the national level, the state needs to have more highways covering 11,500 km.
The CM also proposed that 14 districts in the state were in need of bypass roads to ease the pressure of traffic.
