INDIAN FILM FESTIVAL TO BE HELD AT MELBOURNE IN AUSTRALIA

The 15th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) will be organised from August 15 to 25, 2024, at the Palais Theatre. It will feature a diverse range of films, including Bollywood blockbusters, indie movies, documentaries, and regional cinema.

Karan Johar and Rani Mukerji have been invited to address the Australian parliament ahead of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne [#IFFM].
They will deliver a keynote speech representing the Indian film industry.
The 15th edition of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) will be organised from August 15 to 25, 2024, at the Palais Theatre. It will feature a diverse range of films, including Bollywood blockbusters, indie movies, documentaries, and regional cinema. The festival also includes panel discussions, one-on-one conversations, and interactive sessions with filmmakers, artists, and industry experts. Established in 2010, IFFM showcases the rich diversity and creativity inherent in Indian filmmaking.
The festival stands as a vibrant celebration of Indian cinema on the global stage and promotes cultural exchange between India and Australia.
The festival will be held at the Palais Theatre in St Kilda, Melbourne. The awards ceremony will take place on August 16 where A.R. Rahman, Ram Charan, Malaika Arora, Karan Johar, Nag Ashwin Reddy, Rajkumar Hirani, and Nora Fatehi are likely to be present.
The 15th edition of IFFM is centred on the theme ‘All Our Voices,’ which focuses on inclusivity, diversity, and the multiplicity of perspectives within society.
IFFM presents awards, including the Telstra People’s Choice Award and the IFFM Excellence in Cinema Award, to recognise outstanding contributions to Indian cinema.
