Youth strangle to death woman at a hotel in Soraon, on the outskirts of the city: Accused goes to police station to narrate his act:

A youth in a relationship with a woman strangled her to death and then went to the police station where he admitted to having carried out this murder.

 In being questioned, he told police that Suman Devi 35 was demanding Rs five lakh from him failing which she would get him implicated in a false case.
The incident occurred at an Oyo hotel in Shivgarh Soraon on the outskirts of the city.
Suman hailed from Bhadri village in Soraon. She was married to one Ram Asrey resident of Thagha, Badgaon, Soraon sixteen years ago. She had two children.
Suman returned to her parents’ house two years ago following strains in her relations with her husband.
The accused Vivek Kumar 24 told police that he had checked into the hotel with Suman around 1 pm on Sunday.
He left for the police station around two hours later.
Shocked by his statement the Soraon police station in charge and other police personnel rushed to the hotel where they found Suman dead.
The deceased’s family members reached the hotel after police informed them.
The body was sent to the mortuary.
Police are investigating the case.
