The NIA has diverted focus on unearthing the module responsible for attempts at derailing trains by obstructing railway tracks in their bid to kill and injure train passengers and create an atmosphere of fear in the country.
The NIA is looking for the module that tried to derail trains in UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan during the past three months.
The agency has been entrusted with this task after a failed attempt to derail Kalindi Express in Kanpur.
After this, there had been a sudden spurt in the number of such attempts in which disruptive elements tried to play with the lives of train passengers.
It is suspected that this module had been targeting UP, Bihar, and Rajasthan.
UP Chief Minister Yogi Aditya Nath has directed zone and range officers to make better coordination with GRP and RPF forces engaged in the security of trains as help from them was likely to yield good results.
