Cantonment Board Steps Forward for Judges’ and Lawyers’ Medical Care
Prayagraj: Judges, lawyers, and employees of the Allahabad High Court, along with their dependents, will soon receive better medical consultation and treatment facilities. In this regard, the Cantonment Board Hospital—operated under the Ministry of Defence—has accepted a proposal put forward by Lakshmikant Mishra, President of the Youth Bar Association.
The hospital administration has agreed to provide free medical services by some of the country’s best specialists. Director of the Cantonment Board Hospital, Siddharth Pandey, has written to High Court Bar Association President Rakesh Pandey, requesting space within the court premises.
The letter mentioned that if the High Court Bar Association provides them with a suitable space, a single-window registration counter will be established to provide OPD facilities. If continuous cooperation is extended from the High Court, the arrangement will function smoothly.
Additionally, cashless treatment will be available, and individuals above the age of 70 years will also be able to avail benefits under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
