Three other boys who were with them were rescued by local boatmen and other people present at the ghat after they drifted into dangerously deep waters.

Eyewitnesses said that Reyansh and Aman initially began struggling in the strong current.
Seeing them in distress, the other boys attempted to rescue them, but in the process, several of them also lost balance and moved into deeper waters, worsening the situation.
Their cries for help created panic among the people present at the ghat.
Boatmen and other residents immediately jumped into the river in an attempt to rescue the boys.
With considerable effort, they managed to pull out Divyanshu, Aman, and Mohit safely, preventing further loss of life. However, three of the boys disappeared beneath the water.
A team of divers was soon called to the spot,t and a search operation was launched amid anxious scenes, as hundreds of residents gathered near the riverbank.
Family members of the boys rushed to the ghat upon receiving information about the tragedy, leading to heart-wrenching scenes of grief and distress.
During the search operation, divers first recovered the bodies of Deepak and Reyansh from the river. After nearly two hours of continued efforts, the bodies of Himanshu and Rishabh were also located and brought out of the water.
Police officials and administrative authorities reached the site soon after the incident and supervised the rescue and recovery operation. The bodies of the deceased boys were sent to the mortuary for post-mortem examination.
