From cricket stadiums to cosy cafés, the duo engaged with fans and sports personalities, adding a burst of glamour to the City of Joy.
Their first major stop was the iconic Eden Gardens, where the actors were seen cheering for the Murshidabad Kings and Queens during the Bengal Pro T20 match.
Despite the drizzle, the enthusiasm remained sky-high. The official Instagram handle of the Bengal Pro T20 League shared glimpses of the visit, stating, “Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur graced Eden Gardens, showing their love and support for Murshidabad Kings and Queens. Even the rain couldn’t wash away the energy they brought.”
Adding a special moment to their cricket-ground visit, the stars had the honour of meeting former Team India captain and cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, further elevating the day’s excitement for fans present at the stadium.
After soaking in the sporting spirit, Sara and Aditya headed to Olive Café & Bar located in Kolkata’s bustling Shakespeare Sarani, where they interacted with an enthusiastic crowd of fans.
The actors spent quality time answering questions, posing for selfies, and expressing gratitude for the warm welcome Kolkata offered them.
The day concluded on a heartfelt note as the actors visited Sourav Ganguly’s residence, wrapping up their promotional tour with a personal touch and cultural engagement that resonated deeply with the city’s charm.
‘Metro… Dino’, directed by Anurag Basu, is an anthology-style romantic drama that explores modern-day relationships through intertwined stories of love, longing, and emotional complexity.
The film boasts a power-packed ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sensharma, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Bengali film icon Saswata Chatterjee, who also plays a significant role in the narrative.
Recently, the film’s music launch in Mumbai brought together the entire star cast, where composer Pritam paid an emotional tribute to late singer KK, whose soul-stirring vocals had defined the musical identity of Basu’s earlier film Life in a… Metro.
Actor Aditya Roy Kapur performed live with Pritam, belting out the track ‘Ishq Hai Ya Tharak’, while singer Papon mesmerized the audience with a rendition of the song ‘Yaad’ from the film’s album.
According to the film’s official synopsis on IMDb, ‘Metro… In Dino’ is a contemporary exploration of urban relationships, weaving together tales of bittersweet love, heartbreak, and human connection across different walks of life.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu, the film is set to hit cinemas on July 4, promising both emotional depth and musical nostalgia for audiences across generations.
As the countdown to the release begins, the film’s promotional campaign — filled with heartwarming moments and city-wide fanfare — has only heightened anticipation, proving once again that when cinema meets culture, the result is pure magic.
