All-India Kavi Sammelan Enchants Audience at Baghambari Area Shri Ramlila Committee Event
PRAYAGRAJ — The evening at Allapur’s Tulsi Manch on Saturday turned into a celebration of words, rhythm, and emotion as the Baghambari Area Shri Ramlila Committee hosted a grand All-India Kavi Sammelan (Poets’ Conference).
Renowned poets from across the country enthralled the audience with their soulful renditions of ghazals, geet, muktaks, humor, and patriotic verses, filling the air with poetic fervor and applause.
The program was inaugurated by Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani, BJP Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta, and other distinguished guests who ceremonially lit the lamp, marking the auspicious beginning of the literary gathering.
The poetic soiree began with eminent Shayara Shabina Adeeb, whose poignant ghazal — “Apni daali se bichhade alag ho gaye, ped ke saare patte alag ho gaye…” — received thunderous applause, evoking deep emotions of separation and nostalgia.
Renowned poet Prakhyat Mishra infused patriotic spirit into the atmosphere with his powerful verse, “Loktantra ke sapnon ko sakaar banane wale hain, janatantree stambhon ka aadhar banane wale hain…”, celebrating the vision and strength behind India’s democracy.
Humor took center stage when Akhilesh Dwivedi presented his witty yet heartfelt poem, “Koi parichay nahi tumse magar sambandh pakka hai… nahi toote jo antim saans tak anubandh pakka hai…”, drawing both laughter and applause from the captivated audience.
Poet Balram Srivastava mesmerized listeners with his philosophical lines, “Milakar haan mein haan jeevan jiya to kya jiya tumne, kisi se cheenkar amrit piya to kya piya tumne…”, a reflection on integrity and the essence of meaningful living.
Adding a spiritual and cultural dimension, Dr. Azhar Iqbal recited his deeply resonant composition:
“Maanavta ki deh ka unnata maatha Ram, Bharat ke itihaas ki gaurav gaatha Ram,
Dono ke vyaktitva mein bas itna tha bhed, Ravan vidhi adheen tha aur Vidhata Ram…”
— earning widespread appreciation and a standing ovation for his poetic tribute to Lord Ram as the embodiment of human virtue and divine strength.
The event also featured captivating performances by Dr. Rajendra Mishra Abhiraj, Dr. Ramesh Vishwahar, Ashish Anal, Dr. Tishya Shri, and Ravi Chaturvedi, whose melodious songs and ghazals left the audience spellbound.
The Kavi Sammelan not only celebrated India’s vibrant poetic tradition but also highlighted Prayagraj’s continuing role as a cradle of art, literature, and cultural expression.
