Allahabad High Court Unveils ‘e-AHCR Board Room’, Sets National Benchmark in Hindi Translation of Judgments

In a significant step toward enhancing judicial accessibility and transparency, the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday inaugurated the “e-AHCR Board Room” at the SUVAS (Supreme Court Vidhik Anuvaad Software) Cell of the court.
The newly launched digital platform is a dedicated webpage that will provide Hindi versions of reported judgments of the Allahabad High Court, making judicial pronouncements more accessible to the wider public.
The inauguration ceremony was held under the aegis of the AI-Assisted Legal Translation Advisory, e-AHCR, and ILR Committee, and was attended by Justice Ajit Kumar, Chairman of the Committee, along with Justice Vikram D. Chauhan and Justice Jitendra Kumar Sinha, members of the committee.
Translation of All Reportable Judgments Completed
Speaking on the occasion, Justice Ajit Kumar announced a major milestone, stating that the translation of all reportable judgments of the Allahabad High Court from the year 2010 up to October 2025 has now been completed.
He informed that the SUVAS Cell is currently engaged in translating nine categories of non-reportable judgments.
He further assured that on the occasion of the 160th anniversary of the establishment of the Allahabad High Court on March 17, 2026, the court will formally begin the translation of all remaining non-reportable final orders and judgments, marking another historic step in judicial outreach.
A Unique National Initiative
Justice Ajit Kumar expressed immense pride in the fact that the Allahabad High Court is the only High Court in the country to publish an e-magazine titled “Nyayabha – Nyaya Ki Kiran”, along with e-booklets on historical and landmark cases.
He highlighted that the SUVAS Cell has been consistently publishing comprehensive compilations of judgments in landmark and historically significant cases, thereby preserving the rich judicial legacy of the court.

Delivering the vote of thanks, Justice Vikram D. Chauhan expressed deep gratitude to the Chief Justice for his constant encouragement and valuable guidance.
He congratulated the entire SUVAS Cell team for achieving what he described as a marvelous and pioneering feat, calling it a clear reflection of the court’s unwavering commitment to accessibility, transparency, and preservation of judicial heritage.
The Chief Justice, in his address, offered heartfelt congratulations to the SUVAS Cell and the Editorial Board, and placed special appreciation on Justice Ajit Kumar, Justice Saurabh Shyam Shamshery, Justice Vikram D. Chauhan, and Justice Jitendra Kumar Sinha for their exemplary leadership, vision, and dedication in steering the initiative to national prominence.
Distinguished Presence and New Launches
The event was attended by Registrar General Manjeet Singh Sheoran, senior advocates Vinay Saran and Samir Sharma (Senior Editors), Pawan Kumar Sharma (HJS), Arvind Verma (HJS), Vivek Srivastava, Joint Registrar, SUVAS Cell, and Editorial Board members Vinod Kumar Tripathi, Dr Anupam Srivastava, Manish Kumar Singh, Radha Raman, Arindam Lahiri, along with the entire staff of the SUVAS Cell.
On the occasion, the e-AHCR logo and the third edition of the e-magazine “Nyayabha – Nyaya Ki Kiran” were formally unveiled.
The Chief Justice performed the ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by the logo unveiling and the official launch of the latest edition of the e-magazine, which is now available on the e-AHCR webpage of the Allahabad High Court’s official website.
50,000th Judgment Uploaded: A National Record
The highlight of the ceremony came when the Chief Justice uploaded the 50,000th translated judgment, the highest number of translated judgments uploaded by any High Court in India to date.
In a symbolic and momentous gesture, all Hon’ble Judges present also uploaded translated judgments, reinforcing the collective commitment of the court to linguistic inclusivity and judicial transparency.
This landmark achievement firmly establishes the Allahabad High Court as a national leader in the use of technology and artificial intelligence for legal translation, bringing the justice delivery system closer to the people.
