Amba cinema hall in Shahjahanpur in UP gutted in fire

A major fire broke out in Amba cinema at Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh last night (June 16) after the last show got over. It took six fire engines to bring the fire under control and douse the flames which rose several metres high. Short circuit is said to be the cause of the inferno. No casualties were reported as the public had left the cinema premises and some staffers were seated outside as preparations were on to shut the cinema for the day.
It is reported that everything was destroyed. The chairs were charred, it is said.
