PM Modi’s Bihar Visit Infuses Fresh Energy Into BJP Cadre, Says NDA Will Script Historic Victory

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday set the tone for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections with two massive rallies in Samastipur and Begusarai, where he declared that the NDA, led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is poised to “break all previous electoral records.”

Modi’s high-voltage campaign launch has visibly rejuvenated the BJP rank and file across the state.

Party workers, many of whom had been eagerly awaiting the Prime Minister’s visit, described his speeches as a “booster dose” that had infused new life and enthusiasm into the campaign machinery.

BJP offices in several districts reported celebratory gatherings, with workers chanting slogans, distributing sweets, and vowing to ensure a record-breaking mandate for the NDA.

In his fiery addresses, the Prime Minister took sharp aim at the Opposition INDIA bloc, branding it as a “mahalathbandhan” — “a coalition where partners beat each other with sticks,” he said mockingly, twisting the term Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).

Modi accused leaders of the RJD and Congress, the bloc’s two largest parties, of being “corrupt and out on bail,” while claiming they continued to act arrogantly despite decades out of power.

The PM also pointed to the internal discord within the opposition alliance, highlighting how Mukesh Sahni’s Vikassheel Insaan Party was denied a fair seat share but was “enticed” with the promise of a Deputy CM post.

“This is not an alliance of vision,” Modi said, “but a desperate arrangement of vested interests.”

At both venues, Modi asked the crowds to light up their mobile flashlights, saying with a smile, “When there’s so much light all around, we don’t need the lantern anymore,” — a pointed jibe at the RJD’s lantern symbol.

The 243-member Bihar Assembly will vote in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14.

Sharing the stage with key NDA figures including Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Upendra Kushwaha, Modi emphasized that the NDA stands united in its mission to ensure Bihar’s continued development.

“Unlike the opposition, our alliance works with purpose, not personal ambition,” he said to thunderous applause.

In Begusarai, the Prime Minister evoked the memory of Sitaram Kesri, calling him a “towering leader from Bihar whose humiliation by the Congress leadership remains an unforgettable chapter in Indian politics.”

Hailing Nitish Kumar’s long governance record, Modi remarked, “He began transforming Bihar in 2005, but his efforts were repeatedly hindered by a Congress-led UPA government at the Center, which was hostage to the RJD’s whims.

Yet, he persisted — and today, the results are visible.”

Modi asserted that under the NDA’s stewardship, Bihar has seen unprecedented progress.

“Over the past 11 years, central assistance to the state has been three times higher than what it received earlier.

Bihar, once dependent on others for basic needs, now exports fish, and its famous makhana has found global markets. The state has truly turned the corner,” he declared.

As the crowds chanted “Modi, Modi!” and “Phir ek baar, NDA sarkar!”, political observers noted a clear shift in energy within the BJP camp.

Senior leaders believe that the PM’s rally has reinvigorated the grassroots cadre, setting the stage for an aggressive final leg of campaigning.
