Sonam Kapoor becomes first Indian brand ambassador for Dior.

Sonam Kapoor has been appointed new brand ambassador for French luxury fashion house Dior’s collections designed by creative director Maria Grazia Chiuri, the actress confirmed on Wednesday, sharing articles by different media outlets on her Instagram stories.
The actress is the first Indian to represent the brand and her appointment is part of the label’s expansion strategy in the Indian market.
This announcement comes shortly after Sonam’s appearance at Dior’s Spring/Summer 2025 show during Paris Fashion Week last month, where she turned heads in a striking black ensemble from the label’s Cruise 2025 collection. Her outfit featured an embroidered black trench coat, a voluminous skirt and a structured corset.
As per a report by US-based fashion magazine WWD, Dior said that their collaboration with Sonam celebrates the powerful cultural ties that have always united the fashion house and India.
“A multitalented personality, the actress, producer, and fashion icon henceforth embodies the audacity, grace, and elegance of Dior style, a femininity constantly reinvented,” the fashion house stated about Sonam in a recent press communique.
On the work front, Sonam is set to return to acting early next year. This will mark her first project since the birth of her son, Vayu, in August 2022.
The 39-year-old actress confirmed that filming will soon begin for a streaming project on a global platform. Sonam was last seen in Shome Makhija’s 2023 crime thriller Blind alongside Purab Kohli and Vinay Pathak.
