Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has raised a strong alarm about three dangers that, according to him, threaten not just nations but the entire world — climate change, cyber crime and terrorism.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 26th International Conference of Chief Justices of the World (ICCJW) in Lucknow, he urged the global community to confront these challenges collectively and decisively.
Yogi Adityanath explained that rapid technological progress has certainly made life comfortable, but it has simultaneously opened the doors to severe risks like data theft, online fraud, and cyber attacks.
Cyber crime, he warned, is expanding so fast that no country can afford to ignore it anymore.
The Chief Minister linked these modern-day problems with India’s ancient philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the Vedic idea that the whole world is one family.
He said that when the world acts as one family, it becomes easier to solve common problems.
Just like COVID-19 proved that a disease anywhere can become a crisis everywhere, the same approach must be adopted for climate change, terrorism and cybercrime.
Referring to the devastating impacts of global warming, he said the world must learn from India’s traditional wisdom, which teaches reverence for the Panch Tattva — the five natural elements. This respect for nature, he said, is key to reversing environmental damage.
The Chief Minister emphasised that dialogue is the heart of problem-solving, but unfortunately, genuine dialogue often gets overshadowed by those seeking political or personal dominance.
He stressed that education must play a more meaningful role in shaping this global dialogue — but without burdening children with stress or heavy school bags.
Yogi Adityanath reminded the gathering that even 80 years after the United Nations was formed, the world still needs a just, inclusive and accountable global system.
Today’s crises — whether climate change, cybersecurity breaches, pandemics or terrorism — demand a stronger, more practical and purposeful global coalition.
He concluded by urging all nations to unite on one platform and confront these three global threats just as the world collectively confronted the pandemic.
Echoing the spirit of Swami Vivekananda, he said the time has come for humanity to rise above boundaries and work together for a safer future.
