Two unidentified men broke into the office of actor Anupam Kher at Veera Desai Road at Andheri in Bombay on June 19 midnight and stole a locker containing Rs. 4.15 lakh in cash. They also took away the negative of his film, Maine Gandhi Ko Nahin Mara. CCTV footage showed the two burglars fleeing in an auto rickshaw after the theft. An FIR was registered.
The break-in and burglary were discovered by an office staffer the following morning when he saw the main door broken and the locker missing.
