The role of security agencies and the railway itself appears to be suspicious in the Chandigarh – Dibrugarh derailment that saw the death of four persons and injuries to around three dozen passengers. It is clear that there was a blast at the time of the derailment. The driver says so and so do the people of the area.
Then why did the railways earlier try to cover up the tragedy by saying there was water all around the track that could have sunk and later said no it was not so. Are they authorized to say anything and then backtrack without any accountability?
It appears that the lives of railway passengers mean just rubbing off hands by doling out some cash to the families of the dead and the injured.
The manner in which the bogies had derailed is in itself suspicious. The luggage van, generator car, and even the guard’s cabin remained safe and sound.
Just 25 minutes ago the Jan Nayak Express had passed on this track.
What happened in this small period that took the lives of four persons and injured so many?
With the Anti Terrorist wing joining the investigations it leaves people without any doubts that there is something fishy.
On their part, no police or railway official is ready to say anything at this stage. The inquiry will start on July 1 and come out with its findings.
