Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma assured the people that the investigation would be thorough and transparent, and that all individuals connected to Garg’s Singapore trip would be questioned. He emphasized that public trust and restraint were crucial to ensuring justice.
Garg’s funeral on September 22 was nothing short of historic. Lakhs of fans thronged the streets, turning every city and town into a sea of sorrow and remembrance.
Even policemen, tasked with maintaining order, were seen weeping alongside the mourners. People from all walks of life—students, office workers, farmers, and artists—joined together to pay their final respects. Chants of “RIP Zubeen Garg” and heartfelt songs echoed through the streets as the beloved singer was laid to rest with full state honors.
