Bangladesh is passing through a phase of anarchy. It’s police is in a bad shape. Hence I appeal to the people to protect the Hindu brothers. They are our brothers. We have grown up together, said Muhammad Yunus, head of the caretaker government in Bangladesh:

The interim Bangladesh government headed by Muhammad Yunus has apologised for failing to protect Hindu minorities in the wake of widespread violence following the overthrow of former government headed by Sheikh Hasina who fled the country and sought refuge in India.

Government’s advisor in home affairs Brigadier General MS Hussain also admitted that Bangladesh failed to protect the minority community.
With folded hands the Brigedier General said, “Main Haath Jod Kar Maafi Mangta Hun”. I apologise with folded hands that we failed to protect the minorities, while talking to journalists.
He said, it is the duty of the majority community to protect the members of the minority community. We are bound to answer in case we fail in our duty to protect the minorities. Our religion also says that we are duty bound to protect the minorities. I apologise to my minority community brothers.
The newly appointed chief justice of the supreme court of Bangladesh warned of strict action if any member of judiciary was found involved in any wrong doings.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh police officers who had been carrying out protest have agreed to restore normalcy after the interim government agreed to fulfill their demands.
On the other hand several thousand people took out peace march in the city of Gopalganj in Bangladesh and Houston in USA in protest against attacks and atrocities against Hindus.
