Bombay High Court Grants Bail to Two Accused in Alleged Salman Khan Murder Plot
On February 7, the Bombay High Court granted bail to two men arrested in 2024 for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy by the Bishnoi gang to assassinate actor Salman Khan near his farmhouse in Panvel, near Mumbai.
Justice N.R. Borkar approved the bail applications of Gaurav Bhatia, also known as Sandeep Bishnoi, and Waspi Mehmud Khan.
According to the Navi Mumbai police, the accused, along with others, had allegedly conducted reconnaissance at multiple locations frequented by Khan. This included his Panvel farmhouse, his residence in Bandra, and various film shooting locations around Mumbai.
A case was registered against 18 individuals, including jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his absconding brother Anmol Bishnoi, and associates Sampat Nehra, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Godara. The alleged conspiracy raised serious concerns about the safety of the actor, prompting an in-depth investigation by the authorities.
