CM Yogi Reviews Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya Bath Preparations in Prayagraj, Issues Detailed Instructions for Crowd Management and Cleanliness

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Prayagraj to review preparations for the upcoming Makar Sankranti and Mauni Amavasya bathing festivals and directed officials to ensure comprehensive arrangements at the Sangam Nose during the major bathing days.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the auditorium of the Prayagraj Mela Authority, the Chief Minister said that devotees have a deep spiritual desire to bathe specifically at the Sangam Nose, and therefore, an exceptionally heavy crowd pressure is expected at this point on the principal bathing dates.

Keeping this in mind, he instructed officials to make all necessary arrangements well in advance.

Divisional Commissioner Soumya Agrawal gave a detailed presentation to the Chief Minister through a PowerPoint briefing, outlining the preparations made so far.

The Chief Minister noted that successfully managing two major bathing festivals within a short span between January 14 and January 18 would be a significant challenge.

He therefore asked officers to begin working with full dedication and focus immediately.

He also appreciated the administration for the smooth and successful conduct of the Paush Purnima bathing festival.

CM Yogi directed that both the bathing areas and circulating zones be further expanded so that a larger number of devotees can bathe simultaneously without facing inconvenience.
