CM Yogi Takes Cognizance of Gangrape and Religious Conversion Case Involving Minor in Ghoorpur Prayagraj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken immediate notice of the shocking gangrape and religious conversion case involving a minor girl in Ghoorpur village, Prayagraj.
Demonstrating prompt administrative intervention, the CM held a video conference with Prayagraj officials, emphasizing that perpetrators of such heinous crimes must not be spared under any circumstances.
During the discussion, CM Yogi specifically instructed the District Magistrate to ensure that all government welfare schemes are extended to the victim, guaranteeing her full entitlement and benefits.
The directives are part of broader efforts to safeguard the child’s well-being and facilitate her rehabilitation.
Video Conference Amid Festive Season
On Thursday night, the Chief Minister remained engaged in monitoring law and order during the festive season via video conferencing.
The Ghoorpur case was a major point of discussion. Upon reaching Prayagraj’s agenda, the CM directed the Police Commissioner to take stringent action against the culprits, ensuring that justice is served without delay.
Rehabilitation and Welfare Measures for the Victim
Following the CM’s instructions, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma immediately directed the District Probation Officer (DPO) to initiate all necessary measures.
The minor girl was shifted under police protection to the Balika Grih in Khuldabad, providing her a secure environment.
The administration has also begun the process of extending financial and educational assistance under the Chief Minister’s Service Scheme, which provides ₹2,500 per month for the girl’s education.
Additionally, once all procedural formalities are completed, the Woman and Child Welfare Fund will assist with ₹3 lakh to support her rehabilitation.
DPO Sarvjeet Singh confirmed that medical examinations have been conducted, and further legal and medical procedures are underway.
The coordinated efforts reflect the administration’s commitment to protect the victim, provide compensation, and ensure justice.
Ensuring Law and Order During Festivities
Alongside the case, the CM also directed officials to strengthen law and order arrangements during the ongoing festive season, highlighting the government’s focus on both public safety and victim welfare.
