Constitution Gallery inaugurated in Maha Kumbh to educate people

The Constitution Gallery, located in Mahakumbh Nagar, was officially opened to the public on Thursday after being inaugurated by Uttar Pradesh Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna at Sector 2 of the fair area at 1 PM.
Organized jointly by the Parliamentary Affairs Department and the Cultural Department of the Uttar Pradesh government, this unique gallery aims to educate and inspire visitors by showcasing the significance of the Indian Constitution and its core values. Positioned as a major attraction during the Maha Kumbh Mela, the gallery is designed to enlighten devotees about the importance of the Constitution, fostering respect for its principles and strengthening national unity.
Targeting especially the youth, the Constitution Gallery aspires to instill a deeper understanding and appreciation of the nation’s foundational document. Visitors will also have the opportunity to take photographs with an image of the Indian Parliament, adding a personal and memorable experience to their visit.
The gallery was established during the Amrit Mahotsav year of the Constitution, commemorating its enduring legacy. Through engaging audio-visual presentations, the exhibition provides a detailed account of the formation of the Constituent Assembly, the drafting process of the Constitution, and other related milestones. Additionally, the gallery features documentaries that include images and special speeches by prominent figures associated with the Constituent Assembly, offering a vivid glimpse into the historical journey of India’s governance.
This initiative provides a unique platform for people from across the country and the world, who gather in Prayagraj for the Maha Kumbh, to delve into India’s rich constitutional history and values. By connecting visitors to this vital aspect of the nation’s identity, the gallery serves as a bridge to understanding India’s democratic ethos.
Several dignitaries graced the inauguration event. These included Justice J.J. Munir, judge of the Allahabad High Court; J.P. Singh, principal secretary of parliamentary affairs for Uttar Pradesh; Dilip Gupta, additional director in the state’s cultural department; Amrendra Nath Singh, former chairman of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh; Bipin Bihari Pandey, chief standing counsel; and Ashish Gautam, president of Divya Prem Sewa Sansthan. Their presence underscored the gallery’s importance as a beacon of knowledge and unity.
