Continua Kids Launches Multispecialty Pediatric OPD in Prayagraj, Bringing Advanced Child Care Closer to Home
Prayagraj: A new milestone in pediatric healthcare has been achieved in Prayagraj with the launch of a multispecialty OPD by Continua Kids at the Bhoomi Scanning Centre in Sohbatiyabagh.
The facility aims to provide families in the region with easy access to specialized child healthcare services, particularly in pediatric neurology and neurodevelopmental care.
With the opening of this OPD, families in Prayagraj and nearby districts will no longer need to travel to major metro cities for advanced consultations and therapies.
Until now, such journeys often meant high financial costs, logistical challenges, and interruptions in a child’s ongoing treatment.
The new center has been designed to bridge this gap by offering integrated, expert-led care closer to home.
Speaking at the inauguration, Continuua Kids’ co-founder and pediatric neurologist Dr Pooja Kapoor highlighted the difficulties families face when frequent long-distance travel is required for consultations and therapy.
She emphasized that children with developmental and neurological conditions need consistent follow-ups, and repeated travel often becomes a major barrier.
The Prayagraj center, she said, reflects the organization’s commitment to understanding these challenges and ensuring that timely, specialized care is accessible locally.
Dr Kapoor also drew attention to the growing concern of mobile phone addiction among young children.
She warned that excessive screen exposure, especially for children under three years of age, can adversely affect not only eyesight but overall development.
She urged parents to strictly limit screen time and remain mindful of what content their children are consuming.
The OPD was inaugurated in the presence of senior pediatrician Dr J V Rai and consulting pediatric cardiologist Dr Naveen Kumar, underscoring Continuua Kids’ collaborative and multispecialty approach to child healthcare.
Dr Rai stressed the importance of early diagnosis and timely intervention in pediatric care, noting that a center like Continua Kids in Prayagraj will help ensure prompt evaluations and appropriate treatment without unnecessary delays.
Dr Kumar echoed this sentiment, adding that families in the region have long depended on metro cities for specialized pediatric services, and the presence of Continuua Kids locally is a significant step toward comprehensive and accessible child healthcare.
Pediatric neurologist Dr Jayanti, along with Dr Naveen Kumar, will oversee clinical operations and holistic child care at the Prayagraj OPD.
According to Dr Pooja Kapoor, this team-based approach will ensure continuity, quality, and evidence-based medical care for children and families in the region.
