Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta received a death threat via a phone call made to the Ghaziabad Police Control Room (PCR) at around 11 PM on Thursday, June 5, according to official sources.

The disturbing call has prompted a coordinated investigation between Ghaziabad and Delhi Police.

Confirming the development, Ghaziabad DCP (City) stated that the call was indeed received, but attempts to contact the caller again failed as the phone was switched off shortly afterward.

Following the threat, Ghaziabad authorities promptly alerted their counterparts in Delhi. “North West District Police received the information late at night from Ghaziabad Police.

A joint operation is currently underway to locate and apprehend the caller,” Delhi Police said in a statement.

Law enforcement agencies are actively working to trace the origin of the call, identify the suspect, and ensure the Chief Minister’s safety.

The incident comes just days after two separate threat emails were sent warning of bomb attacks at Udyog Bhawan and Nirman Bhawan in central Delhi, raising fresh concerns over the security of key government officials and buildings.
