A mass rape was committed with the lady doctor before she was brutally murdered at the Kolkata hospital. This claim has been made by Dr Suvarn Goswami, joint secretary, All India Government doctors Association.
The injuries found on the body of the doctor indicate that more than one person were involved in her rape and murder.
In between, the CBI team reached the hospital on high courts orders and collected evidence from the scene of happening.
The team also interrogated the accused.
According to Goswami, the postmortem report also debunks the theory of rape after murder.
The victim had injuries at ten places on her body including the head and was strangled to death. The report clearly indicates that the victim faced a lot of cruelty and pain before death. Her death occurred between 3 to 5 am and she was raped more than once before being finally killed.
A team of 25 doctors from AIIMS Delhi has also reached the hospital.
The CBI has raised a question over vandalism in a room adjoining the seminar hall where the rape and murder was committed.
Meanwhile, it is shocking that the Kolkata police failed to stop a mob of more than a thousand persons who vandalised the RG Kar hospital.
According to reportsa mob vandalised the government hospital in Kolkata during a midnight protest by doctors against the recent rape and murder of a colleague. The emergency ward has been completely destroyed, said a police official.
