“Encroach, Exploit, or Intimidate — and the Bulldozer Will Respond”: Yogi Adityanath’s Unambiguous Warning from the Assembly

LUCKNOW: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday delivered one of his strongest and most uncompromising statements yet on law, order, and governance, making it clear that no individual — however powerful or influential — will be spared if found illegally encroaching upon monuments, mythological sites, or government land.
Speaking in the state Assembly during the discussion on the supplementary budget, the Chief Minister sent a blunt message to land mafias, criminal syndicates, and habitual offenders: the era of fear has ended, and the era of accountability has firmly arrived.
“Whoever encroaches upon monuments or mythological sites will not be spared,” Adityanath declared.
“If any mafia illegally occupies government land and turns it into a centre of extortion or immoral activities, bulldozers will roll — and no one has the power to stop them.”
Security First: The Foundation of Governance and Growth
Adityanath stressed that security is not a slogan but the first condition of a civilised society and economic progress.
“Whether it is an individual, society, or an institution, the first requirement is safety. Without law and order, there can be no development,” he said, adding that every daughter, trader, and citizen must feel secure for the state to move forward.
He underlined that the dramatic shift in how Uttar Pradesh is perceived — both nationally and internationally — is the direct outcome of decisive policing, political will, and zero tolerance for crime.
“A criminal today knows the consequences of his actions,” the Chief Minister said. “This is no longer the Uttar Pradesh where criminals chased police personnel.
This government guarantees safety to honest citizens — but it also gives a clear warning to criminals: reform yourselves, or the road to Yamraj is open. The call from Yamraj can come anytime.”
From Lawlessness to Rule of Law
Highlighting the transformation since 2017, Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh earlier suffered from a reputation of riots, anarchy, and lawlessness.
“Today, wherever people go, they hear that Uttar Pradesh has a strong security environment. There are no riots, no chaos. This change did not happen by accident — it happened because of firm decisions,” he said.
He noted that the people of Uttar Pradesh have repeatedly endorsed this approach through their electoral mandates.
“What we have done — and what we have not done — the people are responding through votes. The difference between Uttar Pradesh before 2017 and after 2017 is visible to the entire country,” he asserted.
Justice Will Not Bow Before the Mafia
Targeting the previous Samajwadi Party government, the Chief Minister accused it of lacking the courage to deliver justice — even to its own members.
Referring to the Pooja Pal case, he said, “Your MLA did not get justice because you bowed before the mafia. You could not protect a poor daughter standing alone against goons.”
Under the BJP government, he said, justice does not depend on party affiliation.
“Whether a daughter belongs to this side or that side, justice will be delivered in all circumstances,” he said, adding that he has personally assured security to SP MLA Vijma Yadav as well.
“This is not about ruling party supporters or the opposition. This is about guaranteeing security to every citizen,” he emphasised.
Cracking Down on the Education Mafia
Adityanath said his government is equally determined to dismantle the education mafia that thrived under earlier regimes.
To that end, retired DGP Prashant Kumar has been appointed head of the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC).
“The backbone of the education mafia will be broken,” he said, asserting that transparency and merit will replace manipulation and nepotism.
Economy, Investment, and the End of “BIMARU” Politics
Rejecting allegations of policy paralysis, the Chief Minister said Uttar Pradesh has moved far beyond the “BIMARU” tag imposed by decades of misgovernance. “Today, there is no policy paralysis.
That is why investment is flowing into the state,” he said, noting that Uttar Pradesh has become a revenue-surplus state over the last five years and a dream destination for investors.
He cited alleged corruption in projects under the previous SP government, pointing out that the JPN International Centre — sanctioned at ₹175 crore — consumed ₹860 crore and remained incomplete.
Similarly, the Gomti Riverfront project, originally estimated at ₹167 crore, reportedly swallowed up ₹1,400 crore without being finished.
On the Purvanchal Expressway, Adityanath said, “You planned 340 km at ₹15,200 crore just for civil work. We redesigned and completed a 341-km, 120-metre-wide expressway at ₹11,800 crore. This was not governance earlier — it was a joke on the nation.”
Welfare Without Discrimination
The Chief Minister firmly rejected allegations of bias in welfare delivery. “Did food not reach the poor? Gas connections, ration cards, Ayushman Bharat cards — these are rights, not favours,” he said.
Even assistance from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, he added, is never given by “seeing faces.”
“This government stands for the welfare and security of 25 crore people — without discrimination,” he said.
On Bangladesh, Appeasement, and Illegal Infiltration
Adityanath also spoke on attacks against Hindus in Bangladesh, alleging selective outrage by the opposition.
“A Dalit Hindu was burned alive in Bangladesh. You cry over Gaza, but your tongues fall silent here because the victim is a Hindu, a Dalit,” he said, calling it the “truth of appeasement politics.”
He further warned against supporting illegal infiltrators, including Rohingyas. “You made voter IDs and Aadhaar cards for them.
Every case will be screened. No infiltrator will be spared,” he said, issuing a clear signal that national security and demographic integrity are non-negotiable.
A Final Message
The Chief Minister’s address left little room for ambiguity: encroachment, corruption, criminality, and appeasement will face the full force of the law. The bulldozer, he made clear, is not a symbol — it is a consequence.
