Hundreds Of Residents Of Kareilly Locality In Prayagraj Forced To Flee Homes Because Of Sudden Flooding.
Hundreds of residents living in the Kachar belt of Kareily locality have been forced to flee after water from overflowing Sasur Khaderi river entered their homes.
The water entered their dwellings through the sewer line. Last night when they went to be there was no water around. However, they were shocked to see their homes inundated with five feet water when they woke up Wednesday morning.
The situation is so alarming that water gives no sign of receding as the river is still overflowing.
This situation has arisen even when Prayagraj is still devoid of adequate rains this season.
Sources said the river was overflowing because of excess rain in other districts.
