ImageSomnath/Rajkot, Agency: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that as the world passes through a phase of deep uncertainty, global expectations from India are steadily rising.

Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference, he underlined that India today stands out for its political stability and policy continuity.

Earlier in Somnath, the Prime Minister cautioned that forces opposing the reconstruction of the Somnath temple remain active even today, and asserted that the nation must stay united to defeat them.

Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat programme, the Prime Minister said that at a time when the world is grappling with unprecedented uncertainty, India is witnessing an era of remarkable certainty and stability.

He urged investors to make the most of the vast opportunities available across the country.

“While there is tremendous uncertainty at the global level, India is experiencing an extraordinary phase of certainty,” the Prime Minister said.

“Today, India enjoys political stability and continuity in policies.”

India is an Attractive Destination for Investment

Prime Minister Modi said that India is the world’s fastest-growing major economy and is rapidly moving towards becoming the third-largest economy globally.

He noted that India has made significant strides in recent years, with Gujarat playing a particularly crucial role in this journey.

He added that the data emerging from across sectors clearly indicates that global expectations from India are consistently rising.

According to him, a stable policy framework, strong governance, and a development-oriented environment are making India an increasingly attractive destination for investment.

Time Changes Everything

Reflecting on history, the Prime Minister said that the cycle of time transforms everything.

Those who came as invaders to destroy the Somnath Temple have today been reduced to mere footnotes in history, while the Somnath Temple continues to stand tall on the seashore, symbolising the strength of India’s faith and culture.

He said the flag fluttering atop the Somnath Mahadev temple calls out to the entire world, proclaiming the power and resilience of India.

Addressing devotees during the Somnath Swabhiman Parv, the Prime Minister extended greetings to worshippers across the globe and described it as a moment of rare and auspicious coincidence.

He noted that the Swabhiman Yatra of the Somnath temple has completed 1,000 years, and that 75 years have also passed since its reconstruction in 1951.

He described the occasion as one imbued with pride, dignity, and glory—an event that reflects knowledge, heritage, spiritual depth, experience, joy, intimacy, and above all, the blessings of Mahadev.

The true history of Hatred and Terror Was Hidden

The Somnath Swabhiman Parv was organised to mark 1,000 years since the attack on the Somnath temple by Mahmud of Ghazni in 1026 CE.

On this occasion, the Prime Minister said that the true history of hatred, oppression, and terror had long been concealed from the nation.

He remarked that people were taught that the attack was merely an attempt to loot the temple.

Prime Minister Modi said that if the assault on Somnath had been solely for wealth, a single attack would have sufficed. Instead, the temple was attacked repeatedly, and its deity was deliberately humiliated—clearly revealing the intent behind those invasions.

Vibrant Gujarat and India’s Global Role

Earlier, at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, the Prime Minister reiterated that India’s stability, governance reforms, and long-term vision are strengthening its position on the global stage.

He once again called upon investors and industry leaders to partner in India’s growth story, stressing that the country is poised to play a decisive role in shaping the global economy in the years to come.
