Iran Vows Sustained Missile Offensive as Gulf States Intercept Barrage of Drones and Ballistic Weapons

Iran has signalled that it is ready to persist with its military strikes for an extended period as tensions across the Middle East intensify.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that Tehran would maintain its missile campaign against its adversaries for as long as required, emphasising that the country is fully prepared for a prolonged confrontation.

In remarks to an American television network, Araghchi said Iran’s military operations would not stop until the leadership believes its objectives have been achieved.

He stated that the barrage of missiles would continue unabated and that Iran possesses the capability and readiness to sustain attacks for as long as the situation demands.

Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates reported that its air defence systems were actively countering a wave of incoming aerial threats originating from Iran.

Authorities confirmed that loud explosions and unusual sounds heard across several parts of the country were the result of interception operations carried out by its defence network.

The UAE’s Ministry of Defence explained that the noises heard by residents were produced when air defence batteries successfully targeted and neutralised missiles and drones before they could reach their intended targets.

Officials assured the public that the country’s defensive systems remain on high alert and are capable of responding swiftly to any hostile aerial activity.

The regional tensions also spilled over into Bahrain, where a missile strike struck a residential building in the capital city of Manama, resulting in casualties.

Bahrain’s Interior Ministry confirmed that a 29-year-old Bahraini woman lost her life in the attack, while eight other people sustained injuries when the projectile hit the residential structure.

Authorities described the incident as a direct act of aggression and condemned the strike that caused damage to civilian property and loss of life.

In the United Arab Emirates, defence officials disclosed that their radar and surveillance networks had detected a significant number of ballistic missiles launched towards the country.

Of the 15 ballistic missiles identified, 12 were successfully intercepted by the country’s air defence systems, while three fell into surrounding waters before reaching land.

The UAE also reported a large wave of unmanned aerial vehicles deployed during the attacks. A total of 18 drones were detected approaching the country’s airspace.

Of these, 17 were shot down by defence systems, while one unmanned aircraft landed within the country’s territory.

Providing a broader assessment of the ongoing confrontation, the UAE Ministry of Defence revealed that since the beginning of Iran’s aerial offensive, its defence network has tracked 253 ballistic missiles launched in the direction of the country.

Out of these, 233 missiles were destroyed mid-air, 18 landed in nearby waters, and two reached the country’s territory.

The ministry also reported an extensive deployment of Iranian drones.

Since the escalation began, 1,440 unmanned aerial vehicles have been detected heading towards the UAE. Defence systems successfully intercepted 1,359 of these drones, while 81 managed to fall within the country’s territory.

In addition, eight cruise missiles were detected during the attacks and were successfully neutralised by the country’s defensive systems before they could cause damage.

The series of missile and drone assaults underscores the widening scope of the conflict and highlights the growing threat faced by several Gulf states as the regional confrontation continues to escalate.
