Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has openly expressed her admiration and deep respect for superstar Salman Khan, calling him not just a colleague but a guiding light in both her personal and professional journey.
In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Reporter, Jacqueline described Salman as a constant source of support—someone she considers part of her extended family.
“Salman Khan is like family—not just to me, but also to my parents. I respect him deeply and trust him completely. I always turn to him for guidance,” she shared, visibly moved while speaking about her long-standing bond with the megastar.
When asked what Salman had done to earn such unwavering devotion, Jacqueline said without hesitation, “There isn’t just one thing—he’s done countless things for me.
He played a huge role in giving my career the breakthrough it needed. After Kick, everything changed for me. That film didn’t just do well; it changed how people in the industry viewed me. Suddenly, there was respect, opportunities, and recognition.”
Beyond cinematic success, Jacqueline emphasized how Salman has been a dependable friend through life’s ups and downs.
“He has always been there—like a true friend, like family. Whenever I needed him, he never hesitated. His kindness and presence made me feel secure in an industry that can sometimes be overwhelming. He’s an angel in my life.”
Speaking about their time during the COVID-19 lockdown, Jacqueline recalled how Salman ensured her safety and comfort. “Staying at his farmhouse in Panvel during the lockdown was a blessing. I felt protected, cared for—like a child under the watch of someone who truly looks out for you.
He made sure everything I needed was there. I’m so grateful. People often talk about character—well, I’ve seen his. Salman is a man of values.”
She also mentioned how, despite being the busiest and most sought-after actor in the country, Salman always made time for her. “Even with his packed schedule, he gave me his time.
In Kick, a film dominated by his presence, he still made sure I had scenes where I could shine and prove my talent. That generosity isn’t something you find often.”
Jacqueline concluded on an emotional note: “Our friendship is strong, rooted in trust and mutual respect.
When he advises me, I take it to heart. His words are like ‘Aayat’—sacred verses that I hold close. What he’s done for me, I’ll never forget. If ever needed, I’d do anything for him. That’s a promise from the heart.”
