Prayagraj: A cyber fraud case has come to light involving a lawyer from the Airport area. Fraudsters lured the lawyer with the promise of a ₹9 lakh job, initially extorted thousands of rupees for coaching fees, and later used his documents to secure a loan under the pretext of providing a salary.
An FIR has been registered based on the lawyer’s complaint.
Advocate Ashutosh Singh, a resident of Dev Prayagam Jhalwa and practicing at the High Court, submitted a complaint to the police. He stated that Tarun Kumar, Ankush Singla, and Kanu Mittal of Coding Nijas Company sent him an email promising a job worth ₹9 lakh after completing coaching with them.
Trusting the fraudsters, Ashutosh paid ₹5,000 to register for coaching and continued paying a monthly fee of ₹3,900 for six months.
After six months, when he inquired about the promised job, the fraudsters collected all his documents and bank account details. Despite the passage of time, no salary was provided. Instead, he later discovered that a loan had been taken out in his name from a finance company using his documents.
