Lucknow: Woman Allegedly Kills 5-Year-Old Daughter, Tries to Frame Husband

In an alarming case emerging from #Lucknow, a woman named Roshni Khan and her alleged partner have been arrested for the tragic murder of her 5-year-old daughter.

The heinous crime, which occurred on a Monday night, has sent shockwaves across the city.

According to police officials, Roshni was residing with her lover, Udit Jaiswal, after an ongoing marital dispute with her husband, Shahrukh Khan. On the night of the incident, an argument reportedly broke out between Roshi and her estranged husband when he came to meet her. Seizing the moment, Roshni allegedly strangled her daughter in a premeditated attempt to frame her husband for the crime.

Initially, Roshni accused Shahrukh of murdering the child during the altercation. However, inconsistencies in her statement led the police to dig deeper. Preliminary investigations soon uncovered glaring discrepancies in her version of events.

 Police, however, found out that the woman’s estranged husband was ill and he was nowhere where the scene of the murder. Due to his ill health, he could also not climb the stairs leading to the fourth floor where Roshni was living.

The authorities, relying on forensic and circumstantial evidence, discovered that Roshi’s account was fabricated, and she was responsible for the act herself.

 

While Udit Jaiswal was not present at the crime scene during the time of the killing, he has also been taken into custody pending further inquiry into his role or knowledge of the plan.

The #LucknowPolice confirmed that the post-mortem of the child has been completed, and Roshni is undergoing sustained interrogation.

Another Tragic Case in Azamgarh: Mother Kills Daughter, Injures Son

In a separate but equally horrifying incident from #Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, a woman named Saroj Yadav allegedly killed her six-year-old daughter and attempted to kill her three-year-old son. The crime occurred in June in a village under the jurisdiction of the Mehnagar police station.

As per the statement of Additional SP City Azamgarh, Madhuban Kumar Singh, the accused began beating her children during a violent episode. When her husband, Sunil Yadav, who had returned from #Lucknow to attend his brother’s wedding, tried to intervene, Saroj reportedly attempted to hang herself.

Later that same night, Saroj allegedly strangled her daughter, Shanvi, to death and then turned on her younger son, Kartik. Fortunately, the boy survived the attack and was rushed to the hospital by local villagers who responded to the commotion.

The woman was arrested following a formal complaint lodged by her father-in-law, Jiyalal Yadav. Saroj is currently in judicial custody as the investigation progresses.
