PRAYAGRAJ: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has launched a significant recruitment drive for 1,253 Assistant Professor positions across 217 government degree colleges in the state, making a wide range of candidates—including MBA degree holders—eligible to apply

- Notification Released: The official announcement (Advt. No. A-7/E-1/2025) went live on 4th September 2025, with applications beginning on the same day
- Application Deadline: Candidates must submit their applications by 6th October 2025. A correction window—from 7th to 13th October 2025—is available for modifications or fee reconciliation
- Eligibility Requirements:
- A Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks from a recognized university.
- Additionally, candidates must have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or an equivalent test, such as SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC norms.
- Age Criteria: Applicants must be between 21 and 40 years, with age calculated as of 1st July 2025. Relaxation is applicable as per government regulations (e.g., for SC/ST, OBC, PWD)
- Selection Process: The recruitment will involve a written exam (75% weight) followed by an interview (25% weight)

- Candidates must first complete a One-Time Registration (OTR) on the official UPPSC portal (uppsc.up.nic.in).
- Post-registration, log in to fill out the application form, upload required documents (photo, signature, certificates), pay the application fee, and submit.

- General/OBC/EWS: ₹125
- SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen: ₹65
- PWD: ₹25
- Salary Scale: The pay scale for selected Assistant Professors is ₹57,700 to ₹1,82,400 (Level-10)
