Melania Trump Denies Any Link to Jeffrey Epstein, Calls Allegations Defamatory and Urges Justice for Survivors
In a rare public statement from the White House, Melania Trump firmly denied allegations suggesting she had any personal relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, calling such claims false, damaging, and defamatory.
The First Lady asserted that attempts to associate her with Epstein are baseless and urged an end to what she described as misleading narratives.
Speaking publicly on the issue, Melania Trump clarified that she had never maintained any personal or social relationship with Epstein or his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been convicted in connection with Epstein’s sex trafficking network.
“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” she said, emphasising that she had never been friends with Epstein and had only limited, casual interaction with Maxwell in social settings.
Limited Social Encounters in New York Circles
Melania Trump explained that during the 1990s and early 2000s, she and her husband, Donald Trump, occasionally attended public events where Epstein was also present, noting that overlapping social circles were common among prominent figures in New York at the time.
She stressed that mere presence at the same events did not imply any personal association. According to her statement, she had never developed any form of relationship with Epstein and had only minimal correspondence with Maxwell.
“I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice, Maxwell,” she stated, rejecting any suggestion of deeper links.
Epstein Case Continues to Generate Political Attention
The controversy surrounding Epstein has continued to attract public attention years after his death, largely due to the high-profile individuals whose names surfaced during investigations.
