Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his family took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj during the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. This grand religious gathering, which draws millions of devotees from across the world, reached a significant milestone on the eve of Maghi Purnima, with heightened security and extensive arrangements to accommodate the influx of pilgrims.

Mukesh Ambani was joined by his mother, Kokilaben Ambani, his sons, Akash and Anant, along with their wives, Shloka Mehta and Radhika Ambani. Dressed in traditional ethnic attire, the family made their way to a boat at Arail Ghat before proceeding to the sacred confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the mystical Saraswati River.

The Ambani family’s arrival was highly anticipated, with Mukesh Ambani reportedly flying in by helicopter before driving to the Sangam. Given the massive crowd, stringent security measures were put in place to ensure the safety of the high-profile guests.

The business tycoon’s visit followed those of other notable figures, including President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had previously taken part in the holy dip.

Beyond their participation, the Ambani family has been contributing to the Maha Kumbh Mela experience through the Reliance Foundation’s ‘Teerth Yatri Seva’ initiative. This program is dedicated to enhancing the pilgrimage by providing free meals, medical assistance, transportation support, safety measures, and improved connectivity. Special provisions such as battery-operated vehicles, community kitchens, and life jackets have been made available, particularly benefiting the elderly and those in need.

This year’s Maha Kumbh Mela has surpassed expectations, with over 45 crore devotees having already performed the ritual by the morning of February 11. Officials predict that the total number of visitors will likely reach between 50 and 55 crore by the conclusion of the event.

One of the key highlights of the Kumbh tradition, Kalpvas, will culminate on Maghi Purnima, drawing an even larger gathering of pilgrims.

To manage the massive crowd and ensure smooth proceedings, the Uttar Pradesh government has designated the city and fairgrounds as ‘no vehicle zones,’ allowing only emergency and essential services. The meticulous planning and heightened security reflect the immense scale and significance of this extraordinary spiritual event.
