Raisen, Madhya Pradesh:

In a speech charged with national pride and defiance, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday sent a clear and unshakable message to the world — India’s progress is unstoppable.

Speaking at the bhoomi pujan of Bharat Earth Movers Limited’s (BEML) new rail coach manufacturing unit in Raisen, Singh asserted that no foreign power, trade restriction, or economic manipulation could stand in the way of the country’s rise as a global leader.

The minister’s comments came in the backdrop of recent protectionist policies by certain nations, including the United States, which have sparked global debate on trade fairness.

Singh made an indirect reference to US President Donald Trump’s remark labeling India’s economy “dead”, a statement that has drawn strong reactions from political leaders and industry experts alike.

They may impose restrictions, they may try to slow us down… but no force on earth can stop India’s progress,” Singh thundered, drawing thunderous applause from the gathering. “We have faced challenges before and emerged stronger. This time will be no different.”

The event itself carried major economic significance. The new BEML facility in Raisen will focus on producing advanced rail coaches, boosting India’s self-reliance in transportation infrastructure and creating hundreds of local jobs.

Singh stressed that the plant would not only serve domestic needs but also aim at capturing global export markets, signaling India’s intent to compete at the highest level.

Singh further highlighted India’s achievements in defence production, space technology, and infrastructure, emphasizing that these strides have been made despite geopolitical hurdles.

“Our soldiers guard our borders with unmatched courage, our scientists take us to the moon and beyond, and our engineers build world-class projects. This is the India the world is watching — and this is the India that will not stop,” he said.

The defence minister also called upon citizens to maintain unity and resilience in the face of global challenges. “If we stand together, no external pressure can break us. We are 1.4 billion strong — that is our greatest strength.”

With his words echoing far beyond Raisen, Singh’s speech has been interpreted as both a reassurance to Indians and a warning to those seeking to undermine the nation’s growth trajectory.
