PM Modi Sends Stern Warning to Pakistan in Aftermath of Operation Sindoor
In a forceful address delivered in Bhuj, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a pointed appeal to the people of Pakistan, urging them to reject terrorism and embrace peace.
His remarks followed the execution of Operation Sindoor, India’s military response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, South Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 individuals, mostly tourists.
Addressing the gathering on May 26, PM Modi stated, “Live a peaceful life, eat your bread. Otherwise, my bullet is waiting for you,” underscoring his government’s zero-tolerance stance on cross-border terrorism.
His comments, reported by PTI, were aimed not just at Pakistan’s establishment but directly at its citizens, calling on them to end the cycle of violence.
Operation Sindoor: A Reflection of National Sentiment
Speaking about Operation Sindoor, the Prime Minister emphasized that it was not merely a military operation but a manifestation of the values and collective emotions of 140 crore Indians.
The precision strikes targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and came after a 15-day wait for Islamabad to take action — a wait that ended in disappointment, as per Modi.
“After what happened in Pahalgam, could the country stay silent? Could Modi remain silent? The response was necessary,” he said.
Modi revealed that on May 9, when Pakistan allegedly attempted to target Indian civilians, the Indian military responded with double force, successfully neutralizing their air bases.
A Direct Message to Pakistan
From Bhuj in Gujarat’s Kutch district, which borders Pakistan, PM Modi warned that if Pakistan continues to harbor and promote terrorism, it will face India’s wrath.
He urged Pakistanis to evaluate their future, asking, “While India focuses on tourism, Pakistan treats terrorism as tourism. What have you gained? India is now the world’s fourth-largest economy, while your nation lags.”
The Prime Minister added that terrorism has become a business model for Pakistan’s government and military, urging ordinary Pakistanis to take a stand and “change the fate of their country.”
Strong Words from Dahod: ‘Sindoor Is Sacred’
Earlier on the same day, while addressing a rally in Dahod, PM Modi made an emotional reference to the sanctity of sindoor, symbolizing Indian womanhood.
“If anyone dares to wipe the sindoor of our sisters, their destruction is certain,” he declared. He said those who promote terrorism “could never imagine in their dreams how difficult it would be to confront Modi.”
A Milestone Moment
The speech marked PM Modi’s first visit to his home state since the launch of Operation Sindoor and coincided with the completion of 11 years of his leadership in office.
During his visit, he also inaugurated development projects worth over ₹50,000 crore in Bhuj.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister reiterated that India’s actions against terrorism are driven by national will and emotional resolve, not just political or military strategy.
His message to Pakistan was clear: embrace peace or prepare for consequences.
