PM Narendra Modi and Yogi Aditya Nath are honest but politicians under them are corrupt. They are cashing the name of Modi and Yogi, said Swami Nischila Nand, Shankaracharya of Puri.
The seer has come after meeting Dhirendra Shashtri at Bageshwar Dham. Expressing grave concern over increasing pollution in Ganga he said the Holi river was still unclean. ‘Vikas ke naam par agar vinash hoga to ganga pradushit hogi’.
Destruction is taking place instead of cleaning the river.
He said, cutting of trees was a big cause of destruction. Excessive use of machinery was also contributing towards increasing heat in the atmosphere.
Talking to media at Shiv Ganga ashram at Jhusi he said, he does not support any political party. He said, he wants people to respect sanatan dharma and vyas peeth.
He said it was the duty of central government to keep recognised Shanjaracharyas as it’s guides.
During the past several years Swami Nischila Nand had been quite concerned over the deteriorating condition of river Ganga and had been urging state and central government’s to ensure uninterrupted flow of clean Ganga water.
