Prayagraj: Four Cops and a man Injured as Police Vehicle Hits Divider in Teliarganj; Three Teenagers Hurt in Separate Road Accident

Four persons, including three police sub-inspectors, a woman constable and another person, were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in collided with a road divider in the Teliarganj area of Prayagraj in the early hours of Tuesday.

The accident reportedly occurred when the driver attempted to avoid hitting a cow that suddenly appeared on the road. In the process, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into the divider.

According to police sources, the Naini police had received information regarding the presence of an accused person wanted in connection with a case.

Acting on the tip-off, a team comprising sub-inspectors Harsh Kumar and Devendra Kumar, along with woman constable Sangeeta, and the brother of the accused, proceeded towards Teliarganj to carry out the arrest.

However, the mission had to be abandoned after the accident occurred before they could reach the location.

Residents immediately alerted emergency services, following which the injured were rushed to SRN Hospital for treatment. Doctors attending to them confirmed that all the injured are out of danger and are recovering.

In a separate road accident reported from the Chatnag area under Jhusi police station limits, three teenage boys sustained serious injuries when their motorcycle crashed into a boundary wall.

The injured have been identified as Sahil (16), a resident of Chak Hariharvan, and his friends Sonu and Karan.

According to initial information, the three had gone to Chatnag when Karan, who was riding the motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to ram into a boundary wall.

All three were seriously injured in the accident and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Both incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding road safety, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours, when visibility is often poor and stray animals on roads pose additional risks to motorists.

Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and maintain safe speeds to prevent such accidents.
