Prayagraj: A major step toward easing traffic congestion in Prayagraj has been taken with the approval of the second phase of the Inner Ring Road project by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.

The preliminary Detailed Project Report (DPR) has now been officially published in the Central Government gazette.

The new four-lane road will stretch 41.662 kilometers, connecting Madhopur village in Soronv tehsil near NH-19 to Amilia village in Karchhana tehsil, passing through a total of 41 villages.

According to National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) officials in Prayagraj, surveys will soon be conducted to determine the exact locations for two major bridges under this phase.

The land acquisition process is expected to begin within the next six months.

Siddharth Singh, Project Director of NHAI Prayagraj, confirmed that following the initial DPR approval, the project has been formally notified, paving the way for further technical assessments and land acquisition.
