Artificial intelligence will now be used in order to check increasing number of tampering with railway tracks. Chairman railway board Jaya Varma has said.

The Chairman who was in the city on Tuesday said big plans were being made in order to ensure safety and security of railway tracks.
The Chairman had come to see development  works related to Kumbh 2025 worth around 2000 crore undertaken by the railways.
She said efforts were being made to provide satisfactory facilities and security to devotees. Much focus was being laid on cleanliness.
Commenting on the Sabarmati train accident at Kanpur and attempts of a youth who had been making videos by keeping obstacles on railway track in Allahabad for garnering U Tube publicity she said, the railways are on the task of increasing more safety and security of railway tracks.
CCTV cameras will be installed at Loco sheds, outers, important signals, over and below railway bridges, level crossings, and tracks passing through populated areas.
These cameras will be connected with zone and divisional offices. These cameras will be monitored by a special team.
 Besides conventional patrolling modern methods would be put in place for this purpose.
All the security agencies would be pressed into service during the kumbh mela, she informed.
