Salim Khan Stable in ICU After Minor Brain Hemorrhage; Family, Film Fraternity Keep Vigil

Mumbai: Veteran screenwriter and Bollywood stalwart Salim Khan was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday morning after a sudden health scare, prompting an outpouring of concern from across the film industry and fans nationwide.

The 90-year-old legend was rushed to the hospital after experiencing uneasiness and a spike in blood pressure.

Doctors subsequently detected a minor brain hemorrhage, following which he was placed under close monitoring in the ICU.

A specialised team of neurologists, cardiologists, and critical care experts has been overseeing his treatment.

Medical Update: Condition Stable, Recovery Under Watch

According to doctors attending to him, Salim Khan’s condition is currently stable and responding to treatment.

He was placed on ventilator support as a precautionary measure, but no major surgery has been performed.

Instead, a targeted medical intervention was carried out to manage the hemorrhage, and his parameters have shown steady improvement.

Hospital sources indicate that ventilator support may be withdrawn soon if progress continues as expected. A detailed medical bulletin is anticipated later in the day.

Given his advanced age, doctors remain cautious, but they are optimistic about his recovery trajectory.

Family and Industry Stand United

The news of his hospitalisation drew immediate attention from the Hindi film fraternity. His son, actor Salman Khan, was seen arriving at the hospital soon after the admission, accompanied by other family members.

Sons Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, daughter Alvira Khan Agnihotri, and other close relatives have maintained a constant presence by his bedside.

Close friends and long-time associates from the industry have also visited to offer support. Among them was celebrated lyricist and former writing partner Javed Akhtar, who, along with Salim Khan, formed one of the most iconic screenwriting duos in Indian cinema.

Messages of prayer and goodwill have flooded social media, reflecting the immense respect and affection the veteran writer commands across generations.
