Even before its official announcement, Bigg Boss 19 is generating immense buzz across the entertainment industry. Reliable sources reveal that the show is expected to launch earlier than usual this year, likely hitting the screens in July.
Notably, this season is anticipated to be the longest one yet, with a runtime of approximately 5.5 months.
Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is set to return as the host, much to the excitement of his vast fan base. According to insider reports, Khan is expected to begin shooting for the show’s first promotional video sometime in June.
However, more than the show’s format or celebrity contestants, it is Salman Khan’s remuneration that is turning heads.
After reportedly earning ₹250 crore for Bigg Boss 18, the superstar is said to have quoted a staggering ₹300 crore for the upcoming season.
Industry sources indicate that the producers have agreed to his revised fee, making it one of the highest paychecks for any television host globally.
This isn’t the first time Khan’s earnings have made headlines. For Bigg Boss OTT 2, he reportedly charged ₹12 crore per weekend episode, amounting to approximately ₹96 crore for the season.
With such astronomical figures, it’s no surprise that fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan has often referred to Salman Khan as the “GOAT” — Greatest of All Time — in the Indian entertainment industry.
