The opposition to bringing up the replica of Kedarnath Jyotirling at Delhi appears to be growing.
Earlier it was the Shankaracharya of Jyotishpeeth Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati who had opposed to the creation of another Jyotirlinga. Now the head priest of Ram Temple in Ayodhya has raised his voice against the coming up of another Jyotirlinga.
Kedarnath is in Uttarakhand. This Jyotirling is twelfth in the row of the other Jyotirlingas established in ancient times.
This Jyotirlinga holds tremendous incomparable powers.
The head priest of Ram Temple at Ayodhya Acharya Satendra Nath Das has joined the league of seers objecting to a new temple in Delhi in the name of Kedar Nath Dham.
If such a temple is to come up it should be given another name. There is only one Kedarnath temple and it will remain exclusive. Creating another one does not augur well.
Several seers in Prayagraj have also expressed surprise over the move to name a temple in Delhi as Kedarnath Dham.
