Seven shooters of Lawrence Bishnoi gang arrested

In a major operation against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested seven suspected shooters from Punjab and other states.

The arrests come days after the recent murder of former Maharashtra minister and NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai on October 12, for which the Bishnoi gang has taken responsibility.

Police officials confirmed that six sophisticated pistols, 24 live cartridges, and a GPS tracking device were seized from the suspects.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Pratiksha Godara said the seven accused have been identified as Ritesh, Sukhram, Sahil, Amar, Badal, Parmod, and Sandeep. Though the police have not found their links in Siddique’s murder case as of now, the accused were being further interrogated, she said.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police stated that the shooters were planning attacks on Sunil Pahalwan, a Ganganagar resident in Rajasthan, and Raj Kumar Gaur, the nephew of a former Rajasthan MLA. The orders allegedly came from Arzoo Bishnoi, a trusted associate of the jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and his brother, Anmol Bishnoi.

The suspects are currently being questioned, and authorities are investigating if they are connected to Siddique’s murder and other gang activities across the country.

Meanwhile, in a separate incident the Delhi Police on Friday arrested Rijwan Ansari, a member of Lawrence Bishnoi and Kala Jathedi gang.
