Seven-Year-Old Boy Killed After Being Run Over by Uncontrolled Tractor While Playing Outside Home
Prayagraj, Manda/Dighiya: In a heartbreaking incident, a young child who was playing outside his house lost his life after being run over by an uncontrolled tractor.
The tragic accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon, leading to his death on the spot.
Following the incident, villagers apprehended the tractor along with its driver and handed them over to the police.
Acting on a written complaint submitted by the victim’s brother, police took the body into custody and, after completing the inquest formalities, sent it to SRN Hospital, Prayagraj, for post-mortem examination.
According to the complaint filed by Farid Ali, son of Imamuddin and a resident of Bamhani Hethar village under the Dighiya outpost on the Prayagraj–Mirzapur highway, his seven-year-old brother Aryan Khan, son of Gulam Ali, was standing at the entrance of their house at around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
At that moment, an uncontrolled Sonalika tractor coming from the Mirzapur side ran over the child, resulting in his painful death at the scene.
Aryan was the youngest among two brothers and three sisters. The tractor had reportedly unloaded stones in Mahewa Kala village and was returning to Ahiran Ka Pura village under Meja police station limits when the accident occurred.
After the incident, local villagers caught hold of the tractor and its driver and handed them over to Dighiya police.
The tragedy has left the family devastated. Police took custody of the body and, after completing legal procedures, sent it to SRN Hospital, Prayagraj, for post-mortem.
Aryan’s untimely death has plunged the family into deep grief. His mother, Chhotkaiya, and sisters Salma, Soni, and Chhotki, along with other relatives, are inconsolable.
