Star-Studded Celebrations Mark Arjun Tendulkar–Saaniya Chandhok Wedding Festivities in Mumbai

Wedding celebrations for Arjun Tendulkar and his longtime partner Saaniya Chandhok have begun in grand style, with Mumbai witnessing a glittering gathering of cricketing legends, filmmakers and close family friends.

The couple is set to exchange vows on March 5, and the festivities have already created a festive buzz following an earlier round of elegant pre-wedding events in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

The sangeet ceremony held on Tuesday evening transformed into a dazzling social occasion, bringing together personalities from sports and cinema.

The highlight of the evening was the appearance of the Tendulkar family before the photographers, presenting a picture-perfect moment that quickly became the centre of attention.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar chose a classic ensemble for the celebration, wearing a beige and gold embroidered sherwani layered over a green kurta with coordinated trousers.

Standing beside him, the groom-to-be, Arju,n looked regal in an ivory sherwani accented with delicate gold detailing, reflecting the elegance of the occasion.

Arjun’s mother, Anjali Tendulkar,r appeared in a striking black and gold lehenga featuring intricate embroidery, while his sister Sara Tendulkar added vibrant colour to the evening in a red and gold lehenga.

The bride-to-be, Saaniya Chand, was captivated by guests in a shimmering beige sequinned lehenga that complemented the celebratory mood.

The evening also witnessed the presence of noted filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra, who attended with film critic Anupama Chopra and their son Agni Dev Chopra.

Vidhu opted for a cream silk kurta paired with an ivory Nehru jacket and churidar trousers, while Anupama stood out in a vibrant fuchsia kurta styled with a flowing mint-green satin skirt. Agni Dev added youthful flair with a red silk kurta and white trousers.

Cricketing personalities were also seen adding sparkle to the evening. Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh arrived with actor Hazel Keech, both dressed in coordinated black outfits.

Yuvraj wore a black kurta paired with a patterned Nehru jacket, while Hazel complemented the look in an elegant black saree embellished with gold embroidery.

Former spinner Harbhajan Singh added a festive touch in a blush-pink embroidered sherwani and matching turban. His wife, Geeta Basra, appeared in a pastel lime-green lehenga adorned with delicate embellishments.

Former fast bowler Zaheer Khan chose a steel-grey kurta with a sleeveless ivory Nehru jacket, while actor Sagarika Ghatge looked graceful in a deep red silk shaara with floral motifs.

Ex-India pacer Ajit Agarkar opted for a simple black kurta set, while his wife Fatima Ghadially brought colour to the evening in a lime-green anarkali with a coral dupatta.

Former all-rounder Irfan Pathan attended in a pastel blue kurta layered with an embroidered brocade waistcoat, accompanied by his wife, Safa Baig, who wore a metallic olive-green outfit with a draped dupatta.

His brother, former cricketer Yusuf Pathan, arrived in a black kurta paired with a gold-toned Nehru jacket, while his wife Afreen opted for a flowing black outfit styled with understated elegance.

The celebrations had earlier begun in Jamnagar, where the family hosted an intimate pre-wedding gathering at a residence belonging to the family of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani.

The venue holds sentimental value as it also hosted the wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in 2024.

A video released earlier by the Mumbai Indians offered glimpses of the elegant pre-wedding festivities and heartfelt wishes for the couple.

In the footage, the Ambani family welcomed guests warmly as the Tendulkars expressed gratitude for hosting the celebrations.

Reflecting on the emotional moment, Sachin Tendulkar shared a touching thought about watching his son step into a new chapter of life.

He remarked that when a son introduces the woman he loves to his family, it signals that he has truly grown up.
