Terrorism will be completely wiped out from Jammu. Home minister Amit Shah while briefing officials has directed them to adopt domination and zero tolerance plan in Jammu on the line of Kashmir valley. The home minister made it clear that the battle against terrorism  in Jammu and Kashmir was in its final stages. Now instead of organised operations it has been confined to stray cases. But this phase too has to be wiped out totally from this area.

He urged security agencies to work towards wiping out terrorism totally in coordination with each other.

All aspects of terrorism including a couple of recent happening were discussed at length and a foolproof strategy was chalked out in this marathon meeting that lasted around four and a half hours.

Various aspects and security cover to be provided to pilgrims embarking upon the Amarnath Yatra begining from June 29 were discussed.

He made it clearly that during Modi 3.0 the policy of zero tolerance would continue and the country was committed to wipe of terrorism completely from its land.

After a presentation by agencies, the home minister directed them to adopt innovative techniques in stead of relying upon old methods.

Steps are being taken to identify sensitive areas and a plan is being chalked out to go heavily against terrorism and all sorts and disruptive activities.

The agencies’ needs would be looked into and they would get all help needed to caary out operations against terror.

He said there was a marked change in terror activities in the valley and law and order situation has improved greatly. He called it a big achievement of the security forces.

He said similar tactics need to be applied in Jammu.

Intelligence network in the area has to be further strengthened, tunnels and hideout will be identified and drones will be pressed into service to maintain vigilance and identification.

The meeting was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Ravi Sinha (RAW), IB Chief Tapan Deka  Defence Chief Manoj Pandey, Chief of Army Staff in the waiting Lt General Upendra Dwivedi, Core Commanders and senior police and administrative officials.
