12-Year-Old Boy Killed After Being Hit by Train in Pachdeora Village

In a tragic incident, a 12-year-old boy lost his life after being run over by a passing train in Pachdeora village under the Kaudhiyara police station limits of Prayagraj district, Uttar Pradesh, on Sunday.

The deceased, identified as Raj Yadav, son of Ramtaul, had reportedly gone to a nearby market to purchase groceries.

According to local sources, the boy was attempting to cross the railway track when a train approached.

It is believed that he misjudged the speed and distance of the oncoming train, assuming he would be able to cross safely before it reached the spot.

Unfortunately, the train engine struck the child, causing his death on the spot. The news cast a pall of gloom over the village as shocked residents and grieving family members rushed to the railway track upon hearing about the incident.

Local police were informed immediately and reached the site to carry out necessary legal formalities and record statements from witnesses.

Family members of the deceased reportedly expressed that they did not wish for a postmortem examination. After completing the required paperwork, the police handed over the body to the family for final rites.

Newly Married Man Dies After Being Run Over by Tanker in Jari Area

In another fatal accident on the same day, a 27-year-old man, identified as Vijay Agrahari, died after being run over by a speeding tanker in the Jari area under Kaudhiyara police station in Prayagraj.

A resident of Bagheri in Chakghat, Vijay had gone to a nearby railway station to see off a relative.

While returning home on his motorcycle, he reportedly stopped after noticing two cattle fighting on the road ahead, in an attempt to avoid a collision.

However, the fighting animals struck his two-wheeler, causing him to lose balance and fall onto the road.

At that moment, a passing tanker ran over him, resulting in critical injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries on the way.

According to sources, Vijay had recently been married on February 24 this year, making the tragedy even more heartbreaking for his family.

Couple and Child Injured in Motorcycle Collision Near Mirzapur Border

In a separate road accident, Yamuna Prasad, a resident of Manda in Prayagraj district, sustained injuries along with his wife and young son after their motorcycle was hit by another bike.

The family was reportedly travelling to Mirzapur district to visit relatives when the accident occurred. The collision resulted in injuries to all three family members, while the rider of the other motorcycle also suffered minor injuries.

All the injured were taken to a medical facility in Mirzapur for treatment. Their condition is reported to be stable.

These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding road and railway safety in the region, with authorities urging citizens to remain cautious while crossing railway tracks and travelling on busy roads.
