For the restaurant lovers of Allahabad there’s this new joint inaugurated on the city side of the junction station on Tuesday.
Close on the heels of the floating restaurant on river Yamuna this is a new experiment where one can enjoy different varieties of food with family and friends, said Mayor Ganesh Chandra Kesarwani who was invited for the opening of this meals on wheel joint.
Railway PRO Amit Singh says, this is the sixth such restaurant after Lucknow, Bareily, Varanasi, Jhansi and Agra where people can will be served different varieties of dishes on the theme of meals on wheels.
Having capacity to have 56 customers at a time, this AC 2 coach has been redesigned as a vegetarian restaurant having selfie points and a place for kids to play.
Similar restaurants were coming up at Cheoki and Subedarganj railway stations in this city. These two will start functioning before Mahakumbh.
